June of 2026 is a Mercurial month. The planet of communication, transportation, and commerce is in watery Cancer all month, and making aspect to Neptune and Saturn before retrograding at the end of June. If possible, take a ‘Lite’ approach to things this month, you may find that things are changing quickly and planning ahead has its challenges.
We start the month coming off the high energy of the Sagittarius Full Moon on May 31st. The excitement that was strong on the weekend should carry over to the first few days of June.
As we approach midweek, the Cosmos sends us mixed signals. The Moon climbs into Capricorn, asking us to maintain focus and work on what needs to be done. Yet on the 3rd Mercury squares Neptune, an aspect that is the antithesis of practicality. Consider the 2nd through the 4th to be like a mini Mercury retrograde.
A nice vibe prevails around the 9th, when Jupiter and Venus meet in Cancer. Both planets enjoy visiting the Moon’s home sign, and the days around their meeting should be good for socializing, business agreements, and creative projects.
Communication gets serious on the 10th, as Mercury forms a tense square with Pallas Athene and Saturn. In the collective, we can expect to hear some bold statements, loudly presented – but also fact-checked. In our personal lives, it will help to express matters that are important, as well as being helpful for bringing upbeat ideas from Venus and Jupiter down to earth.
Venus enters Leo on the 13th, helping to put a dramatic and creative flare on socializing and romance.
With the Gemini New Moon just a day later, on the 14th, we may be feeling a little lower energy for Venus’ first couple of days in Leo. Still, we’re recognizing that it’s fun to get out and connect with others.
The Sun enters Cancer on June 21st at 4:24 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, marking the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.
One of the first things the Sun does in the sign of the crab is to square Neptune in Aries, on the 25th. This aspect can have us making too much (or too little) of a person or situation. Enjoy, experience, but don’t take it too seriously. Let serendipity rule for a few days.
The end of the month has a mixed bag of energy. Mercury stations to retrograde on the 29th, the same day as the Cancer Full Moon. Expect a little ‘extra’ Mercury at the end of the month.
Jupiter leaves Cancer for Leo on the 30th, beginning a yearlong stay in the sign of the lion. Keep an eye on big, dramatic events as June ends – they will give a clue to the year ahead.
