In general, the cosmic weather in February is more personal and less about the collective than it has been for the past few months. It’s an opportunity to evaluate and integrate the happenings of January (and further back in time) into our lives. Relationships get a boost in the first week of the month, as Venus makes harmonious aspects to Saturn and Pluto. If the collective landscape is shifting, we can adjust our personal lives to take the changes into account.
Venus moves into Aries on the 8th, while partnership asteroid Juno stations to retrograde in Libra. There’s a more outgoing, independence-oriented flavor to our socializing, and over the next few weeks we may rethink relationship decisions that were made even quite recently.
The full moon on the 8th/9th is in Leo. Typically, this is the Party Moon of the year, and the Cosmos helps us out by placing it on a weekend. With Venus in Aries, it’s sure to have some potential for fun.
Mercury stations to retrograde in Pisces on the 16th. After his challenging retrograde in Scorpio in November of 2019, we may feel some anxiety over his backpedaling in another Water sign. During the next three weeks, it’s important to take an intuitive approach to matters. Logic may fail and reason may hide unreasonable assumptions, but our internal compasses will be more on target. Of course, intuition can fail as well as reason, so the advice for this time is to go slowly. Get lost in the imagination, and take some time off from pressing forward.
The new moon on the 23rd is in early Pisces, and it makes an easy connection to Uranus. Once again, it may be better to nudge things in the direction we want them to go, rather than pushing hard.
Pushing hard in relationships is a real possibility as February ends and March begins. From February 23rd to March 3rd, Venus, Jupiter, and Juno (Jupiter’s wife and general indicator of established relationships) are in a tense t-square. Tensions can mount as what we want conflicts with what we have, and the demands and expectations of our partners and partnerships test our sense of independence.
In the midst of this, on February 28th, Venus squares Pluto, a further indication that we’ll be impatient with the constraints placed upon us. It’s always a challenge to balance our needs for security and long-term commitment with our desire for something more fulfilling, or maybe just more exciting. For those who are at a tipping point, the end of February could be a time to make changes, while many of us will simply acknowledge the internal conflicts inherent in any relationship.
