March 2026 Astrology Forecast – Here Comes The Sun

The old saying, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb” refers to the weather, and this year, it may also refer to the astrological weather. After an intense eclipse season, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, and a hellacious Mercury retrograde, the skies appear to be settling down as the month ends.

First, though…

The full moon/lunar eclipse on March 3rd is in Virgo, and it is the capstone on a very powerful eclipse season. Lunar eclipses manifest quickly, so we won’t have to wait long to see what this eclipse brings. We’ll be feeling the eclipse energy all the way through the Pisces New Moon on the 18th, although the turmoil – emotional and otherwise – will begin to subside after the eclipse.

We begin the month with Mercury retrograde in Pisces (Water signs always seem to be just a smidge more problematic for Mercury when he’s backpedaling). All the usual caveats about transportation, communication, and technology apply until after he goes direct on the 20th – and it’s not a bad idea to give him a little time after that to get up to speed. Remember that Mercurial mishaps multiply around the stations, so be especially careful from the 19th to the 21st.

Venus enters Aries on the 6th, beginning a Fiery three weeks for socializing and romance. In Mars’ home sign, the goddess of love and beauty likes action and maybe a bit of competition. On the other hand, independent Aries can go it alone, so you may decide to keep yourself entertained.

Venus’ first activity, though, is a meeting the Saturn and Neptune on the 7th and 8th that could give us some mixed messages about socializing. Watch for interesting news about female celebrities, if you’re inclined.

On the 10th, Jupiter stations direct, ending his retrograde that began back in October. The days around a Jupiter station tend to fill us all with optimism and faith in the future, so take advantage of opportunities that come up. Of course, everyone feels the energy, so some folks will be a little ‘extra’ around this time.

The Sun enters Aries – the Vernal Equinox – at 10:45a EDT (14:45 GMT, 7a PDT) on the 20th. The days and nights are of equal length, but from this point onwards the Sun will increase his time above the horizon each day until the Summer Solstice in June, and days will be longer than nights until the Autumnal Equinox in September (that’s not true if you live in the Southern Hemisphere, but after all you’ve been enjoying summer while the rest of us were shoveling snow).

On the 30th, Venus enters her home sign of Taurus. This is the more sensual, pleasure-loving side of the goddess (more formal elegance belongs to her other sign, Libra), so enjoy yourself!

Image, source unknown, is titled “You had one job…” and it seems appropriate for a month that begins with Mercury retrograde.
