April 2026 is an active month – beginning with the Libra Full Moon on the 1st. Mars enters his home sign of Aries on the 9th, meeting with Neptune on the 13th and Saturn on the 19th.
But the star of the show this month is Uranus, who’s leaving Taurus for Gemini on the 25th. He two-stepped into the sign of the twins for a while last year, but this time he’s here to stay for about seven years. Uranus in Gemini is about innovation and technology. The last time he was in the sign – back in the 1940s – saw the development of things like jet engines, rockets, and television.
Ingenuity is the keyword for Uranus in Gemini, and we’re asked to find new approaches to old patterns in our individual and collective lives.
Pluto in Aquarius brought Artificial Intelligence into the center of our attention, and we can expect a rapid acceleration of AI, and it’s consequences, with Uranus now making an easy trine connection to Pluto. The two planets will quickly form an aspect that will be exact starting in July, but we’ll be seeing the effects as soon as Uranus gets into Gemini. Expect rapid changes, for good and ill.
Before Uranus enters Gemini, he’s connect with Mars on the 8th, and Venus on the 23rd. His connection with Mars should provide an opportunity for compassionate action, given that Mars is at the very last degree of Pisces.
The Venus/Uranus aspect is a bit more powerful. At the last degree and minutes of Taurus, it suggests rapid changes in relationship status for partnerships that are at a tipping point. There’s also a strong need for freedom and self-expression with relationships – something that the full moon on the 1st also indicates. Financial changes are also quite likely, and it will be particularly telling for cryptocurrency.
Other important dates to watch in April include the 3rd, when Venus squares Pluto, and power struggles could emerge in both relationships and social situations. On the 25th, it’s the Sun’s turn to square Pluto, and more overt power struggles, especially at the collective level, are likely to be prominent.
The Sun ambles into Taurus on the 19th, just a few days after the Aries New Moon on the 17th. Take mid-month as a time to step back a little, not least because Mercury will meet with Neptune on the 16th, and that’s always an opportunity for confusion – think of the days before and after as a kind of mini Mercury retrograde.
